Join Our Lab
We’re always on the lookout for excellent volunteers (usually strong undergraduate students with an interest in psychology and biology), psychology graduate students and psychology post-docs who are interested in gaining experience in our lab.

Volunteer in Our Lab
We typically have openings for new undergraduate research assistant volunteers once or twice per year, and are always happy to accept applications. To apply, please email us with your current resume and cover letter.  If you are a Northwestern student, please also include your course schedule and a list of relevant coursework you’ve completed.

Graduate Students
We look for excellent graduate students who want research training at the interface of psychology and medicine. Through research activities in the lab and courses in Northwestern’s Personality and Health Psychology doctoral program, our students can develop expertise in psychological, biological, and epidemiologic approaches. They also learn to develop research questions, perform advanced statistics, write grant proposals, and publish scientific manuscripts.  Please note that we do not take students through the Clinical Psychology program.  If you are interested in joining our lab as a graduate student, see the Northwestern University Psychology program’s website for application information.

Post-docs
We consider advanced graduate students who are looking for post-doctoral training in health psychology. They are usually supported by grants they have co-written with Dr. Chen or Dr. Miller. Contact Dr. Chen or Dr. Miller  for more information about post-doc positions in the lab.

We are overjoyed to welcome the following new members of our wetlab team!
